Eugene ‘Geno’ Anderson, 62, of Spring Valley, died suddenly and unexpectedly June 7, 2017 at Western Wisconsin Health, Baldwin, Wisconsin.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: for Geno will be Friday, June 16, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley

VISITATION: will be on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 4-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Geno was born March 4, 1955 in Sparta, WI to Orville “Andy” Anderson and Yvonne (Fischer) Gerlach. He grew up in Northbrook, IL where he attended Glenbrook North High School and graduated in 1973. After high school, he served in the United States Army as a Fire Control-Laser Technician Specialist; later he went on to become a Journeyman Machinist, small business owner of Anderson Machine Tool Corp., and ultimately spent over 40 years in the tool and die industry.

Geno moved to Wisconsin in 1986 where he met and married his wife of 25 years, Jill. They were blessed with two children, Sam “Bear” and Sarah. He enjoyed being with family and friends, hanging out with the family dog Lily, taking his Harley Davidson out on “scooter blasts,” watching Jeopardy, the Pioneer Press’ daily crossword puzzles, golf, and was an avid Chicago sports fan. Geno also served on the Spring Valley Village Board and was a member of the Spring Valley Lions Club and Woodville American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his father Orville “Andy” Anderson; father-in-law and mother-in-law Lester and Bernice Jensen; brothers-in-law John Painter and Michael Huth; and sister-in-law Liah Anderson.

Geno is survived by his loving wife Jill; children Samuel and Sarah; brothers Michael (Mary) Anderson of Lake Villa, IL and Patrick Anderson of Barrington, IL; sister Deborah (Anderson) Huth of Mundelein, IL; brother-in-law Byron (Ann) Jensen of Minnetonka, MN; sisters-in-law Rochelle Painter of Spring Valley, WI and Diane (Grant) Ness of Wilson, WI; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Honorary pallbearers: Sam Anderson, Mike Anderson, Patrick Anderson, Karl Sorenson, Ron Rock, Wyatt Ludtke, and Rick Gould.
