Janet Halverson, age 60 of Wilson, Wisconsin died Monday, August 14, 2017 at United Hospital, St Paul from a short, hard battle with brain cancer.

FUNERAL SERVICE :  Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville.

VISITATION:  Monday, August 21 from 5-8 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, and also one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday.

Janet Grace (Gedatus) Halverson, age 60, of Wilson, Wisconsin died Monday, August 14, 2017 at United Hospital, St Paul, Minnesota after a short, hard battle with brain cancer.

Janet was born September 17, 1956 to Wayburn and Elizabeth (Bennett) Gedatus at Bayport, Minnesota.  She grew up in Bayport and later moved to Princeton, MN and attended Princeton High School, graduating with the Class of 1975.  After high school, Janet married Wayne and moved to Woodville, WI. 

Janet lived in Woodville until 1987 when they moved to a hobby farm in Wilson. She enjoyed her time as a EMT and CNA. But her most favorite job of all was wife, mother and grandmother. 

She Enjoyed spending time with her family especially her granddaughters, crocheting and reading. She could read a book a day. Janet had an unconditional love for her family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law Craig Syring; niece Tracey Syring. 

She is survived by her husband Wayne Halverson of Wilson; Daughter Sarah (Eric) Cooper of Wilson; Son Todd (Amanda) Halverson of Roberts; Grandchildren Alissa Cooper and Miranda Halverson; Siblings Mary (Bill) Hass, Blaine, MN; Thomas (Pam) Gedatus, Baldwin, WI; Sally Syring, Anoka, MN; Debra Bryant, Anoka, MN; Becky Stang, Eau Claire, WI; Many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville. Visitation Monday, August 21, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home and at church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers were Kurt Frye, Tony Bryant, Jeff Hass, Wayburn Stang, Wendy Stoen, and Tim Gedatus.
