Jean Furuglyas, age 66, of Wilson, Wisconsin died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Western Wisconsin Health, Baldwin, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley and one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.

Memorial service for Jean will be on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at noon at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.

Burial will be in Gilman Lutheran Cemetery, Spring Valley.

Jean Faysha Furuglyas. née Stark, Field, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Western Wisconsin Health, Baldwin, Wisconsin.

Jean was born on June 9, 1950 at the Baldwin Hospital in Baldwin, Wi to the Late Harlan and Marjorie Stark. She was raised in Gilman township and attended Spring Valley High School. After high school, Jean married Donald Field of Elmwood, Wi. This reunion welcomed 3 children. After 25 years Don and Jean divorced. On August 6,2004 Jean would marry James Furuglyas.

Jean and Jim both worked in law enforcement. Jean for the Menomonie Police Department and Jim for the Spring Valley Police department.  They both retired at the same time, bought a motor home and set out to see as much of North America as possible.  They enjoyed seeing friends and family as they traveled throughout the states and found great camping sites, fishing spots and friends from the tip of Florida to Denali National park in Alaska. There love of travel ended in 2011 when both became ill. They returned to Spring Valley to live. In June of 2013, Jean lost her beloved Jim. She then moved to Wilson to be closer to her sister Betty until the time of Jeans passing.

Preceded in death by her husband Jim Furuglyas, parents Harlan and Marjorie Stark, Sister in law Patti Stark, brother in law Harold Bartel, and one nephew.

Survived by children Douglas (Yvonne) Field, Melissa Field and Nicholas Field, all of Menomonie.; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.; Step children: Sharon (Eric) Peterson of Sturgeon Bay, Wi.; Eric (Jessica) Furuglyas of Bloomsburg, Pa.; 8 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild; 4 brothers and 3 sisters: Harold (Jan) Stark, Myron (Ruth) Stark and Joel (Brenda) Stark of Spring Valley, WI.; Wayne (Loretta) Stark of Elmwood, WI.; Marlene (Dave Kautz) Bartel of Roseville, MN.; Nita (Tim) Dougherty of Arden Hills, MN.; Betty (Jim) Wall of Wilson, WI.; 2 brothers-in-aw and 4 sisters-in-law; many loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bearers were Jean’s son Douglas and Nicholas.
