Jim Wall, 73 of Wilson, Wisconsin died Friday, April 21, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Menomonie.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, April 26 at 11 a.m. at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 25 from 5-8 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.

James Allen Wall, age 73, of Wilson, WI died April 21, 2017, at Mayo Health System, Menomonie,WI following respiratory failure.

Jim was born on July 6, 1943, in Baldwin, WI to Leonard and Malinda (Kelm) Wall.
He grew up in Emerald and graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1961.  He attended the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, and graduated in 1967 with a degree in Education.  He taught school in Ripon, WI for a brief time.

He moved his family to Spring Valley in 1968 where he partnered with his father for many years owning and operating Spring Valley and Wilson Elevators.  Upon retirement, he substitute taught in Spring Valley and surrounding area schools.

Beginning in the early 1970’s, Jim was a youth leader for Luther League at the Gilman Church, and served on the Spring Valley Village Board.  He joined Spring Valley Fire Department—eventually serving the role of Assistant Chief, and was also a long-time member of Spring Valley Ambulance.

On September 5, 1981, he married Betty Ann Stark. They enjoyed motorcycling, camping, fishing and gardening.  

Preceding him in death were his parents (Len & Lin); parents-in-law (Harlan & Marjorie Stark); brother Norman Wall; grandson Derek Wall; brothers-in-law (Harold Bartel, Ken Larson, & Jim Furuglyas); and sisters-in-law (Patti Stark & Jean Furugylas).

Survivors include:
wife Betty;
daughters Kim (Chuck) Mensing, Shelly (Chris) Lanning, Terrie (Dave) Johnson, and son Len (Susan) Wall;  
grandchildren Cole & Trey Mensing, Gracyn & Bowden Lanning, James & Sydney Powell, and Gianna Wall;
sister Joan Larson, brother Bob (Peg) Wall, and sister-in-law Lucy Wall;
brothers- and sisters-in-law Marlene (Dave) Kautz, Harold (Jan) Stark, Wayne (Loretta) Stark, Nita (Tim) Dougherty, Myron (Ruth) Stark, Joe (Brenda) Stark;
many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives;
and many, many friends.
