John was born April 28, 1930 to Gustave and Alice (Christensen) Wallesverd in the town of Cady, St Croix County, Wisconsin.  He attended Denver grade school and graduated from Spring Valley High School with the Class of 1947.  He served 3 plus years in the U.S. Army as a Morse Code Interceptor.  He then attended Wisconsin State College in River Falls and graduated with a  Bachelor of Science degree.  He majored in chemistry and physics and minored in mathematics.  He went on for one year of graduate school at the University of Washington in Seattle.
In June of 1954 John married Evelyn Nelson.  This union was blessed with 3 sons: John Jr., Steven, and Mark.  He worked as a coating, plating and metal treatment chemist in the Milwaukee area.  He was active in church serving as Sunday School Superintendent and on the church council.  He was also active in Joseph’s Square.  John was very active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.  He received the Silver Beaver Scouting Award for his efforts, however his greatest reward was to see his 3 sons attain the rank of Eagle Scout.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his oldest son John Jr., and sister Patricia Wallesverd.
Jack is survived by his wife Evelyn of 62 years; his sons: Steven (Linda) Wallesverd of Farmington; Mark (Amanda) Wallesverd of Wilson; grandchildren: Kirsten Wallesverd of Lawrenceville, IL; and John Alvarez of Wilson; great grandchildren: Jack and Will; brother Guerdon (Donna) Wallesverd of Tomahawk; sisters Marian Braseth of Seattle; and Alice (Glenn) Boumeester of Baldwin; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Jack was a soft spoken, kind man with quick wit, whose family always came first.  His kind and gentle soul was apparent in his love for animals.  Although he raised beef cattle for a time none of them ever ended up on his table, however they all had names. His last dog, Sarge, enjoyed sharing his blanket which was draped at his feet.
