Leo David Johnson

Shannon Johnson, age 30, and her infant son Leo died unexpectedly Monday, June 5, 2017.

Funeral service for Shannon and Leo will be Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 10 a.m. until noon at Gilman Lutheran prior to the service.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Shannon Jane Johnson (Matzke), 30, and newborn baby Leo David Johnson, of Spring Valley WI passed away unexpectedly June 5, 2017 due to medical complications. Shannon and Leo are survived by: loving husband and dad Jesse Johnson, beautiful daughter and sister Mila, mother and grandmother Lavonne Matzke, father and grandfather Robert E. Matzke, sister and aunt Beth Linderholm (Brant), brother and uncle Dustin Matzke, many nieces and nephews, mother-in-law and father-in-law and grandparents Susan and Tim Ormson, father-in-law and mother-in-law and grandparents Leroy and Nancy Johnson, brother-in-law and uncle Brandon (Brenda) Johnson, sister-in-law and aunt Michelle (Jess) Moe, grandparents-in-law and great grandparents Jerry and Diane Mattison and Mary Vanasse, other relatives and friends.

Shannon's greatest joys in life were her husband and daughter. Mila and Shannon would spend endless days playing, blowing bubbles, snuggling and bonding as Mother and Daughter. Her endless love for Jesse was unconditional. They fished & bow hunted together and shared the love of the outdoors with their beautiful daughter. Shannon had an incredible spirit and warm heart that will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Shannon, Jesse and Mila were over joyed with the anticipation of their son, Leo. He was just as handsome as his father but left us too soon. Shannon carried Leo through the gates to be with our Lord. Shannon was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, and sister who will be missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
