Mary Ann was born January 9, 1930 to Henry and Vera (Williamson) Helgeson in Eau Galle Township, St Croix County, Wisconsin.  She was baptized, confirmed and a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville.

She attended Country School at Brookville and graduated from Woodville High School with the Class of 1947.  On October 6, 1948 Mary Ann married Don Iverson at Zion Lutheran.  They lived near Woodville their entire married life.
