Tim Wood, age 65, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Monday, October 16, 2017 at University Hospital in Minneapolis.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 21, at 11 a.m. at Spring Lake Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.

Visitation will be Friday, October 20, from 4-8 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley and one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.

Tim was born February 27, 1952 to Orin and Leone (Smith) Wood in Spring Lake Township, Pierce County, Wisconsin.  Tim grew up in Spring Lake Township and attended Spring Valley Schools, graduating with the Class of 1970.  He continued his education at UW-River Falls where he studied Ag Science.  On June 9, 1973 Tim married Shelli Stevens at Spring Lake Lutheran Church, Spring Valley. Other than a few months in River Falls, Tim lived his entire life in or around Spring Valley.

Tim worked at several jobs, including American Hoist and Derrick in St. Paul, Clopay Garage Door Company in Baldwin, and SMC in Somerset.

His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. He enjoyed cheering for the Green Bay Packers, watching old western TV shows, being outside, and country music – especially Reba. He loved spoiling his grandchildren and always made sure the candy drawer was full. His  sense of humor will help us honor his wishes to remember him with smiles and laughter instead of tears.

He was preceded in death by his father Orin; mother-in-law JoAnn Stevens; sisters-in-law Georgia Wood, Carol Wood; brother-in-law Larry Aamodt; Goddaughter Denise Wood, and nephew Nicholas Wood.

He is survived by his wife Shelli; daughter Joni (Kevin) Olson of Eau Claire; son Troy (Renata) Wood of Woodville; 4 grandchildren: Molly and Libby Olson; and Klara and Cameron Wood; his mother Leone Wood of Knapp; siblings: Orlen (Patty) Wood of Milwaukee; Terry Wood of Spring Valley; Scott (Sue) Wood of Spring Valley; and Mary Jane Hecker of Knapp; father-in-law Donnie Stevens of Spring Valley; sisters-in-law Suzanne Duchane of River Falls; and Julie Aamodt of Spring Valley; one aunt/Godmother, Grace Wood; Godchildren Annie Westbrook, Tony Stevens, Amanda Bickley, Cody Fillion; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
