Yvonne 'Bonnie' Gregory

Yvonne ‘Bonnie’ Gregory, age 83, of Spring Valley, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at her home in Spring Valley.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 9-11 a.m. at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Gilman Lutheran. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.

Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Elk Mound, Wisconsin.

Yvonne Gregory, age 83, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at her home in Spring Valley, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

Yvonne Marie Belden was born August 10, 1940, to Nellie (Burgess) and Arnold Belden in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  She was raised and went to the 3rd Ward School, Junior High and Memorial Schools in Eau Claire.

On August 18, 1956, she married Dean Gregory in Stillwater, Minnesota.  Bonnie and Dean lived in Elk Mound, Wisconsin; Norfolk, Virginia; Birchwood, Wisconsin; and Elmwood and Spring Valley.

Bonnie worked at Silver Springs Garden for 4 years, as a Headstart Teacher and Bus Driver for 15 years and at the Spring Valley Health Care Center for 5 years.  She also enjoyed work at Spring Valley Schools as a paraprofessional with special needs students and with staff for 26 years.  After retiring, Bonnie was a substitute teacher in Birchwood and at Spring Valley.

Bonnie enjoyed cooking, collecting Elvis memorabilia and her 5000 pairs of salt and pepper shakers.  Most of all, she loved camping and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a 4-H leader in Spring Valley and Brownie and Girl Scout leader in Spring Valley for 4 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dean; parents Arnold and Nellie Belden; brothers Duwayne and David Belden, granddaughter Tanya Goswamy, aunt Wanda; in-laws Grant, Blanche and Ethel Gregory; Will Miller; Ted Schulte and Don Eskew; and daughter-in-law Sheila Peterson-Gregory.

Bonnie is survived by her children: Connie (Tom) Moen, Dawn (Steve) Schlosser, Debbie (Rick Williams) Gregory, Blanche (Steve) Schwartz, Teresa (Gary) Fleishauer, Mary Sorenson, and Jim Gregory; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother Ray (Sally) Belden; sister Sandy Fimreite; in-laws: Marcia and Barb Belden, Sarah (David) Casper; Mary (Darrell) Schmidt; Ernie (Phil Tucker) Woodbeck; Woody (Brenda) Woodbeck; many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the church. A luncheon will follow the service.

Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Elk Mound, Wisconsin.
