Barry Moran, age 82, of Spring Valley, died Sunday, December 29, 2019 at home in El Paso Township.
Funeral service is on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spring Valley.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church.
Barry was born November 14, 1937 to Frank and Ida (Larson) Moran in El Paso, Wisconsin. He graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1955. He enlisted in the Navy from 1956-1960. Barry married Rosalie Gaustad in 1961 and they celebrated 52 years together.
Barry worked at the Ford assembly plant in St. Paul, MN for 34 years. After retiring, he lovingly cared for his wife until her passing in 2013. He enjoyed tending to his yardwork, his garden, feeding the birds, but mostly spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Rosalie, son Brendan, great grandson Logan, Godson Jeffrey Anderson, and other beloved family members and friends.
Barry will remain in the hearts of his children: Cheryl (Randy), Patricia (Mike), Brian and Melissa; grandchildren: Luke (Emmy), Alex, Morgan (Tyler), Cierra, and Ashtyn; great granddaughters Brianna and Marley; his sister Harriet Anderson; sisters-in-law Marlys DeSmith, Charlene Snyder, Janice, Knipfel, Sandra Gaustad; many other relatives, friends, and neighbors, and his favorite pet, Sheldon.
