Brian Sturgul, age 50, of Woodville, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 28, 2019.
Funeral service for Brian is Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from noon until 3 p.m. prior to the service at Zion Lutheran Church.
Burial is in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Woodville.
Brian was born July 30, 1968 to Jimmy and Lois (Reetz) Sturgul at Hudson, Wisconsin. The Sturgul’s lived in Roberts for a couple years before moving to Woodville. Brian attended Baldwin-Woodville Schools and graduated with the Class of 1986. After graduation he worked for a lawn care company, worked at the Woodville Lumber Yard, and worked a couple years at as custodian at the Hudson Dog Track. He eventually got a job as environmental aid at the River Falls Area Hospital where he worked for 24 years
Brian was a ‘good-hearted soul’ and loved by all. He was a good friend, a good listener, and willing to help anyone who needed it. He was one of the most honest people and could never tell a lie. His favorite hobbies were hunting, trapping and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Chester and Mabel Sturgul and Raymond and Gertrude Reetz.
Survivors include his parents Jimmy and Lois of Woodville; brother Brenden (Kristine) Sturgul of Houston, Texas; uncle Bernard (Judy) Sturgul of Luck; cousins: Kelly (Ken) Meyer and family; Todd (Cindy) Sturgul and family; and Staci (Kevin) Egle and family; and his large family of friends.
Pallbearers: Kevin Egle, Ken Meyer, Tyler Sturgul, Todd Sturgul, Tom Ellefson, and John Ellefson.
Honorary bearers: Jess Hauser, Jena Down, Angie Smith, Dani Polk, Erika Shudlick, Megan Husby, Casey Davis, Summer Minder, LaVonne Hampton, and Amanda Raney.
