Dale Marcott, age 72, of Wilson, Wisconsin died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital (Mayo Clinic) in Rochester, Minnesota from complications in recovering from heart surgery.
Dale was born July 20, 1945 to Norman and Dolores (Strasburg) Marcott at Marshfield, Wisconsin. He attended grade school at Cadott and finished high school at Eau Claire North where he graduated in 1963.
On November 26, 1971, Dale married Wendy Dial at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Cady Township, Wisconsin. They worked for several years for Dale’s father who owned Cady Cheese Factory, Inc. On January 1, 1978 they became the new owners and operated Cady Cheese for 34 years before retiring in 2012.
Dale had a love for music and horses, especially Arabians. He played trumpet and performed with the Eau Claire Boys Drum and Bugle Corps and also Madison Scouts.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sister Deanna Mickelson and her husband LaVerne (Ozzie), sister-in-law Crystal Bloecher and her husband Ulrich (Uli).
He is survived by his wife Wendy of Wilson; daughter Johannah Marcott of Los Angeles, California; brother Richard (Joyce) Marcott of Spring Valley; brother-in-law Jeffrey (Kathleen) Dial of Spring Valley; nieces and nephews: Ellen (Robert Williams) Bloecher, Brigitte (Richard Stambaugh) Bloecher; Eve Marcott; Julie (Chris) Blegen; Lana (Jody) Anderson; Pamela (Gary) Tamburello; and Kim (Tim) Smith; several grand nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
