Harvey Halderson, age 85 of Woodville, Wisconsin died Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Park View Home, Woodville.
VISITATION will be on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Zion Lutheran following the visitation.
Burial will be in Lone Pine Cemetery, Woodville, Wisconsin.
Harvey was born June 3, 1933 to Thorwald and Alice (Hanson) Halderson at Baldwin, Wisconsin. Harvey grew up and attended school at Woodville. After school, he worked on the family farm and in 1957 entered the U.S. Army and served for 2 years.
After completing his time in the Army, Harvey returned to Woodville where he farmed for many years. He also worked construction helping build Highway 94. He also worked a while for the railroad, the Wilson Elevator and mowed the Woodville Cemeteries for about 14 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother-in-law Chet Wegner.
Survivors include his brother Russell (Heidi) Halderson of Wilson; nieces and nephews: Michael Halderson of Wilson and Amy (Steve) Peavey of Baldwin; Bruce (Linda) Jerome of Maplewood, MN; Cort (Beth) Jerome of Hugo, MN; Beverly Keller of Hudson; and Craig (Colleen) Jerome of Coon Rapids, MN: sister Avis Wegner of Oakdale, MN; special friend Marjorie Kunkel and her family: Sheryl (Roger) Billetter of Beldenville; Glenda (Roger) Young of Hager City; Valerie (Todd Brown) Kunkel of Spring Valley; Kelly Kunkel of Beldenville; Kathy (Frank) Thibault of Ellsworth; and Dennis Kunkel of Beldenville; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville. Visitation was on Wednesday from 9:30 until 11 at church prior to the service.
Pallbearers were Bruce and Cort, Jerome; Beverly Keller; Mike Halderson; and Amy and Steve Peavey.
Burial was in Lone Pine Cemetery, Woodville, Wisconsin with Military Honors provided by the Woodville American Legion Post 301.
