Irene V (Trebus) Minder

Irene Minder, age 91, of Spring Valley died Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.

FUNERAL SERVICE for Irene will be Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church, Wilson, Wisconsin.

VISITATION will be Thursday at Calvary Assembly of God Church from noon until 1 p.m. prior to the service.

Burial will be in the Beldenville Cemetery at Beldenville, Wisconsin.

Irene was born September 7, 1926 to Albert and Mary (Messersmith) Trebus at Hudson, Wisconsin.  She grew up near Ellsworth, Wisconsin and attended Hillendale Country School.  Irene lived in Hudson and worked for an Egg Factory at River Falls for a couple years before meeting Herbert Minder. Irene and Herb were married on April 27, 1948. After marriage, Irene spent most of her energy raising her family.  She loved to bake and cook.  Her specialties were her pie crust, cookies, and chicken noodle soup.  She learned to play guitar and sang with her sister.  She also crocheted and sewed and made clothes for her children and grandchildren. 

Preceding her in death were her parents; grandsons Joe Anderson and Daniel Anderson; brother Marvin Trebus; and sisters Amelia Emerson and Adeline Finke.

She is survived by her husband Herb now living at Cumberland; children: Ruth Minder of Spring Valley; Herbert ‘Steven’ (Glenda) Minder of Spring Valley; Randy Minder of Cumberland; and Terry (Suzanne) Minder of Shell Lake; one brother Jacob Trebus of Spring Valley; 7 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; 3 great great granddaughters; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Irene is Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church, Wilson, Wisconsin.  Visitation is from noon until 1 p.m. at the church prior to the service on Thursday.

Burial is in the Beldenville Cemetery, Beldenville, Wisconsin.
