Lester Littlefield, Sr

Lester Littlefield, age 81, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Monday, December 3, 2018 at Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. on January 26, 2018 at the Community Bible Church, Spring Valley with a memorial service at 11 at the church.

Lester Lafayette Littlefield, Sr. 81, passed away peacefully at the Spring Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center with family by his side on December 3, 2018.

Les was born Aug 18, 1937 to Alvin and Lois (Bartlett) Littlefield in Red Wing, MN.  Les went to Olivet and Spring Valley Schools before moving to California with his family.  He served 3 years in the Army, stationed in Germany  Later he, along with his family, moved to Rapid City, S.D.  where he was an over the road semi truck driver and liked having a run to Wisconsin to surprise his parents. He lived in S.D for 30 plus years.  Les enjoyed baking, changing up recipes a little.  Loved his computer & mostly his garden in the summer.  In the early fall of 2015 he moved from S.D to the Spring Valley Care Center.  His big thing was learning to do plastic canvas from his sister.  Les made something for everyone. “What color do you like?” became very common when making something  He had visitors-like deer and turkeys at his bird feeders.  He also loved his Walmart trips and lunches out.

Les is survived by wife of 6 months: Joanne (Quackenbush); her sons: Gary (Caroline); and Al (Cayla); and 1 granddaughter.  Les’s 5 sons: Fritz (Sue) Lester Jr (Patty); David (Cari); Terry (Sandy); Richard (Doris).  8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 5 step children; 2 step grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild.  Les is also survived by his sister Lin (Arby) Linder; sister-in-law Kristy Littlefield, and many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his grandparents Lester and Lena Bartlett; parent Alvin and Lois Littlefield; brother Lloyd.
