Mary Ann Iverson, age 88 of Woodville died Monday, January 22, 2018 at Park View Home, Woodville.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 25 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 9:30 until 11 at church prior to the service at Zion.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Woodville.
Mary Ann was born January 9, 1930 to Henry and Vera (Williamson) Helgeson in Eau Galle Township, St Croix County, Wisconsin. She was baptized, confirmed and a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville.
She attended Country School at Brookville and graduated from Woodville High School with the Class of 1947. On October 6, 1948 Mary Ann married Don Iverson at Zion Lutheran. They lived near Woodville their entire married life.
Mary Ann worked as the secretary for Iverson Lumber and also as the secretary/treasurer/vice president of Ideal Door Company.
She stayed active in the Woodville Community. She had taught Sunday School and was a long time member of the Sr. Choir at Zion. In addition to being in the choir she was also the treasurer for many years. She served on the Park View Guild and had called bingo for the residents. She embroidered numerous pillow cases and dish towels. She also cross stitched many beautiful pictures the family holds dear. Mary Ann and Don enjoyed travelling and had wintered in Arizona and Texas.
She also enjoyed baking Norwegian goodies, like lefse, rosettes and romegrot. She kept her mind sharp by doing the weekly crossword puzzles and playing along while watching the Wheel of Fortune. In addition to her hobbies she treasured time with her family, children and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son Gregg Iverson; and brothers Virgil (Hylaine) Helgeson and John Helgeson.
She is survived by her husband Don; sons Scott (Joan) Iverson; Todd (Carolyn) Iverson; 4 grandchildren: Tammy Iverson, Scott Iverson, Jason (Amy) Iverson, and Wade Iverson; 7 great grandchildren: Kayla, Ashley and Brianna, Jordyn and Brenna, and Avery and Brecken, daughter-in-law Linda Stang; sister-in-law Janis Helgeson, brother-in-law David (Barb) Iverson; many other relatives and friends.
