November 2, 1918 ~ September 9, 2017 (age 98) 98 Years OldMildred Elvira Christopherson, age 98, of rural Spring Valley, Wisconsin, died Saturday, September 9, at Atrium Care Center in Ellsworth, Wisconsin.
FUNERAL service is Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Beldenville.
VISITATION is Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home in Spring Valley and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.
Mildred was born November 2, 1918, to Amund and Ida (Place) Odalen, in the town of El Paso. She attended public school at El Paso and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1937. She worked in St Paul, Minnesota doing housework and attended Cable Business College, taking night courses. She then returned to Ellsworth and worked in R. Wilbur Brookshaw’s Law Office.
On June 28, 1945, she married Canton Christopherson at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. They lived on a farm in Ellsworth Township for 17 years before moving to a farm in Martell Township.
She was preceded in death by her husband Canton, parents, three brothers: John, Arnold, and LeRoy ‘Bud’; and three sisters: Eleanor Johnson, Alma Sethre and Florence Neiderhauser.
Mildred is survived by two sons, Charles of Martell Township; and Donald (Susan) of Waconia, Minnesota; one sister-in-law Marian Odalen of Spring Valley; many nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives.
Pallbearers were: Clair Severson, Bruce Place, Roger Palmquist, Wayne Kiefer, Larry Peterson, Terry Odalen.
