Reece Keehr

Reece Keehr, age 58 of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, died suddenly on Friday, August 10, 2018.

Reece was born July 17, 1960, to Donald and Lavon (Geving) Keehr in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He grew up and attended school in Spring Valley, graduating with the Class of 1978. After high school, Reece attended UW-River Falls and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Reece worked for over 25 years as a Residential Real Estate Appraiser. 

On November 14,1981 Reece married his high school sweetheart, Laurie Tanberg. They lived in Spring Valley, where they raised their 3 daughters.  Reece was an avid sports lover.  He loved all sports, especially golf, football, and basketball.  He enjoyed playing cards and going to the lake with his family.  He was a jokester with a “unique sense of humor” and had an infectious laugh that could be heard across the valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Lavon; father in law and mother in law Dale and Resh Tanberg; brother in law Jim Duberke.

Survivors include his wife Laurie; daughters: Kelli (Tyler) Schlegel; Kayla (Jeff) Thompson; and Kimberly (Jimmy) Ehne; sisters: Belinda (Jim) Foley; Benita (Tim) Gregg; Beatta Christoffersen; brothers: Ross (Beth) Keehr; Royce (Cathy) Keehr; brother in law Jon (Kristin) Tanberg; sister in law Diane Duberke; 5 grandchildren Kemri, Tayson, and Kesli; Madelyn and McKinley; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 3-8 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.  Funeral service will be Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
