Richard Young, age 80, formerly of Woodville, died Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Celebration of life prayer service will be Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.
Richard was in born Hudson, Wisconsin to Chester and Anne (Jackelen) Young. He graduated from Hudson Hight School 1956.
He married Sharon Thomas, (divorced), and is survived by his children: Theresa Young (Greg Peterson), Anne Young, Carolyn Van Tassel, Richard Young, Christina Cunningham, and William Young. He married Alice (Score) Young (deceased). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grand children; siblings Patricia Young; Robert (Barbara) Young; Mary Lee (Jerrie) Powers; and Michael (Eileen) Young; other relatives and friends.
Richard moved to Montana from Hudson, Wisconsin and then moved to Woodville. He worked for Murphy Trucking for many years. Richard was in the National Guard and deployed to Food Hood Washington. When he retired, he volunteered for meals on wheels, he drove for the elderly, painted rocks, liked outdoors, fishing, basking in the sun and was a frequent visitor Turtle Lake Casino,
Donations are preferred to ADRC (Meals on Wheels).
Family and friends may gather from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
A luncheon will follow at the Spring Valley Community Center.
