Rosella Walsingham

Rosella Walsingham, age 88, of Spring Valley, died Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabililation Center.

VISITATION will be on Sunday, June 10, from 12:00-1:00 at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley with a MEMORIAL SERVICE at 1:00 at the funeral home.  All are invited for cookies and coffee at the Valley Villas dining room following the service.

Burial will be in Maiden Rock Cemetery, Maiden Rock, Wisconsin at a later date.

Rose was born April 13, 1930 to Otto and Della (Wentlandt) Kurschinski in Menomonie, Wisconsin.   She grew up and attended school in Spring Valley and graduated with the Class of 1948.  Rose worked at the café in Spring Valley where she met Lester Walsingham.  They were married November 24, 1950 at Spring Lake Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.

Rose and Lester moved numerous times due to Lester’s employment with the Wisconsin State Patrol.  They lived in Mazomanie, Chippewa Falls, Appleton, Rice Lake, Spooner, and Wausau.  After retirement, they moved back to the Spooner/Shell Lake area and eventually to the Valley Villas in Spring Valley.  They also wintered in Arizona and Florida for 27 wonderful years.

Rose enjoyed fishing, golfing (including a hole in one in Arizona), and playing cards and games with her friends and family. In later years, she loved her trips with sister, Phyllis, to the casino in Turtle Lake.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, John, brothers and their spouses: Mike and Patsy; Otto Jr and Mary Lou, Alfred and Connie; and sister Kathleen and Clark Feiler, and brothers-in-law: Lloyd Kerg and LeRoy Walsingham; and sisters-in-law and spouses: Vivian (Max) Kopp and Marjorie (Wayne) Bast.

Rose is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lester; 2 daughters and 1 son: Vicki (Gary) Siebold of River Falls; Leslie (Mike) Randall of Vulcan, MI; and Dan (Jane) Walsingham of Green Bay; sister Phyllis Kerg of Elmwood; sister-in-law Marian Walsingham of Hudson; 5 grandchildren: Josh (Casey) Donatell of Grand Rapids, MN; Jordan (Lisa) Donatell of Roberts; Mason (Amanda) Randall of Northfield, MN; Travis Randall of Gilbert, AZ; and Maggie (Ray) Arrozal of Green Bay; 5 great grandchildren: August and Isaac Randall, Daniel Donatell, Raymond Jr. and Ryan Arrozal; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
