Russell L. Hinshaw, age 44, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, formerly of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Monday, December 4, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis, Missouri surrounded by family and close friends.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley, Wisconsin.

Family and friends may gather from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Russell was born June 16, 1973 to Mary Hinshaw and Donald Minder in Red Wing, Minnesota.  He attended River Falls Elementary School and Spring Valley High School.  After school, Russell moved south for a few years.  He moved back to Spring Valley one summer and worked construction for Albert Peterson.

About 10 years ago Russell attended truck driving school out west and received his CDL.  He began his truck driving career which he truly loved.  He drove all over the U.S. and into Canada.  He has lived at Mount Carmel, Illinois for the past 8 years.    

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

He is survived by his mother Mary Hinshaw of Spring Valley; 2 brothers: Adam (Brenda) Newago of Lake Hallie, Wisconsin and James Hinshaw of Menomonie; Wisconsin, several nieces and nephews; other relatives and close friends.

Memorial service is on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley. Family and friends may gather from 6 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.  Burial of cremated remains will be in Crossville, Illinois.
