Stanley 'Stan' Anderson

Stanley ‘Stan’ Anderson, age 77, of Wilson died Sunday, December 30, 2019 at United Hospital, St Paul.

Visitation is on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 3-7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. with Military Honors by Rickerd-Danielson American Legion Post of Spring Valley.

Burial at Fort Snelling.

Stan was born December 25, 1942 to Lester and Viola (Hagel) Anderson in Gilman Township, Wisconsin.  He attended school at Elmwood and following high school entered the U.S. Army and served for 6 years.

On May 27, 1967 Stan married Beverly Bitney at St Paul, Minnesota.  They raised two children, Wendy and Steven.  They lived in St Paul for a few years after marriage and moved numerous times before settling in Wilson.

Stan worked at Reynold’s Metal and the American Hoist where he worked as a welder for 16 years.  He worked doing small engine repair and auto body repair.  He was an owner/operator trucker and he and Bev owned and operated the motel in Cumberland.  Since retirement they have lived in Wilson.  He enjoyed playing guitar, riding his motorcycle in his younger years, and word search puzzles.

Preceding him in death were his parents; 3 brothers: Roger, Louis and Lester; and nephew Jeffrey Anderson.

Survivors include his wife Beverly; daughter Wendy (Mike) Eggen and their children Cody and Brody; son Steven (Joey) Anderson and their children Bailey, Kaleb, Chloe and Issak; brother Al (Sue) Anderson; sisters: Cleo Kitchner; Becky (Arlan) Smith; and Linda, (Andrew) Anderson; sisters-in-law: June and Barb Anderson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
