Wayne H. Halverson, age 63, of Wilson, Wisconsin died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home in Cady Township.

Wayne was born April 26, 1954 to Harold and Arlene (Frye) Halverson in Washington County, Minnesota.  He grew up in Minnesota until he was 4 years of age and moved to the farm in Wilson he attended school at Baldwin-Woodville and graduated with the Class of 1973.

On November 29, 1975 Wayne married Janet Gedatus at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville.  They lived in Woodville until they moved out to the country in Wilson in 1987.   Wayne operated heavy equipment for road construction with Sweeny Bros, Timme and Straight Arrow.  He loved working with his crews.  He always had stories that included Darwin, Nan and multiple other individuals.

Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family especially hunting trips out west, hunting coyotes with Kurt, tinkering on snowmobiles, watching over the cattle, calling his brother Roger on the phone, and telling stories to anyone who would listen.   Wayne could make a 10 minute car ride last hours as you toured the country side, he let you know what guardrail he placed, when he did it and how the weather was that day.  His memory was exceptional.

Preceding him in death was his mother Arlene and his wife Janet who died just 4 months ago in August 2017 and he dearly missed her.

He is survived by Daughter Sarah (Eric) Cooper of Wilson; Son Todd (Amanda) Halverson of Wilson; Grandchildren Alissa Cooper and Miranda Halverson; Brother Roger (Darla) Halverson of Princeton, MN; Father Harold Halverson of Woodville; Many other relatives and friends
