Ardith Howard, age 93, of Spring Valley died Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.

FUNERAL SERVICE for Ardith will be Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spring Valley, Wisconsin.

VISITATION will be from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church prior to the service on Saturday.

Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Spring Valley, Wisconsin.

Ardith Lorraine Howard, age 93 of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Ardith was born May 17, 1924 to Ernest and Beatrice (Hase) Peterson at home in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin.  She attended Spring Valley Schools and graduated with the Class of 1942.  While in high school, she started dating H. Paul Howard.  They dated all during high school and on June 5, 1942 were married in Taft, California.

After Paul returned from serving in the U.S. Army/Air Force, he and Ardith lived in Spring Valley.  Ardith was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  She taught Catechism and was a Cub Scout Leader; enjoyed her family, sewing, and being a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, brother Donald Peterson and his wife Jeanette, and brother-in-law Ernie Gay.

Survivors include 2 daughters and 2 sons:  Mary Ann (Robert) Richardson of Spring Valley; Fay Johnson of Spring Valley; P. William ‘Bill’ (Lennice) Howard of Minocqua; and Ted (Connie) Howard of Tomah; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister Marilyn Gay; sister-in law Ramona (Larry) Kochendorfer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
