Beverly Danielson, age 90, formerly of Knapp, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Bev was born May 26, 1933, to Harold and Lily (Beck) Johnson in Cady Township, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. She grew up in Cady Township and attended Spring Valley Schools, graduating with the Class of 1951. She was fondly known as BJ to friends, was a cheerleader and prom queen while Jim was an athlete in football and basketball. She was a farmer’s daughter that moved to St Paul with girlfriends and lived off Summit Avenue working as a secretary in the big city while Jim was serving in the Marines, overseas in Korea.
Bev married the love of her life, James Danielson when he returned from Korea, on Wednesday, April 13, 1955, at Wilson Lutheran Church, Wilson, Wisconsin. Jim and Bev lived in Oceanside California for a few years while Jim was stationed at Camp Pendelton. After the service life, they moved to Oakdale Minnesota and started their family. They moved to Knapp, Wisconsin in 1973, only a couple miles from where Bev grew up. Bev later moved to Ellsworth and then to Baldwin.
Bev worked at Unisys in St Paul from 1967 until retiring in 1990. After retiring, she continued her education attending Chippewa Valley Technical College in Menomonie. She also continued to work after retiring and had worked for Red Cedar Plumbing, Stockman Farm Supply, CTS Interconnect and Fabri-Tech/Berquist and retired for the final time at age 70.
She enjoyed all sports and was an avid Packer Fan. She loved going to fish boils and country fests with friends, and loved music. She treasured spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and going to every event they participated in. Bev will be remembered as a kind soul with deep faith in God. She was always smartly dressed, not one hair out of place and makeup was immaculate.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents, brothers-in-law, Dale and Earl, sister-in-law Vivian, nephew Gary and favorite canine companion, K.C.
She is survived by her sons: Tom (Donna) Danielson; Bill (Tammy) Danielson; four grandchildren: Tyler (Amara) Danielson; Lindsey (Chris) Savage, Kerry (Laura) Danielson, and Karissa Danielson; five great grandchildren: Gabe, Lennon, Eden, Fjord, and Archer Danielson; brother Bob (Mary) Johnson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
