Carla Carlstrom, age 63, of Martell, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, December 6, 2022 after a short term illness.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.
Carla was born May 5, 1959 to Clarence and Gwendolyn (Lewis) Martin in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was raised in the Roberts area and completed her schooling at CVTC in River Falls. She received a degree in nursing and worked as an R.N. at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Carla had lived in Western Wisconsin for many years and for over 20 years at her current residence in Martell Township.
She loved her family which was the most important part of her life. She enjoyed her country home where she watched the wildlife and built several ponds around her home. She loved watching and feeding the birds. Time spent around the campfire with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents Marles and Loren Lewis; son Joshua Cunningham; and sister Marla Olsem.
She is survived by her fiancé James ‘Andy’ Bennett; children: Chasity (Mike) Liddle; Carla’Vee (Jose) Ruiz; Tara Amundson; Jonathan (Bonnie) Amundson; and Laruen DeBore; siblings: Paula (Wayne) Ausen; Mary Wittstock; and Terry Mahoney (John); 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
