Charles ‘Chaub” John O’Brien Jr., age 67, of Woodville, Wisconsin, died Friday, December 3, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire.
A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at The Old Ptacek’s Event Center in Prescott.
Chaub was born August 28, 1954 to Charles and Florence (Freese) O’Brien at Baldwin, Wisconsin. He grew up and attended school at Prescott, graduating with the Class of 1972. He married Shelley Lansing in 1973 and they were blessed with two children: Pat and Angie. They lived in Pierce and St Croix Counties and were together for 25 years before the marriage ended.
Chaub worked for McMillan Electric in Woodville for over 30 years. In 1999 he married Dawn Rott. After being together for almost 20 years, the marriage ended in divorce.
Chaub loved his motorcycle and riding the countryside with his friends. He had a love for music and enjoyed playing his drums. Most important to him was his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sons Jacob and Connor; brother David Beying and wife Joan.
He is survived by his son Pat (Jamie) O’Brien of River Falls; daughter Angie (Jeremy) Whirry of Baldwin; grandchildren: Damian, Kaitlin, Isaiah, Bella, Cody, Libby and Siraj; brothers Duane ‘Duke’ (Karen) O’Brien and Steve (Fran) Beying; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and one great great nephew, other relatives and friends.
