Daniel Knutson, age 73, of Beldenville, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at his nephew's home in Martell Township.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, at Rush River Lutheran Church, rural River Falls, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 20, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Dan was born May 26, 1952, to Kenneth and Lorice (Moore) Knutson at Red Wing, Minnesota. He was raised on the Knutson family farm in Beldenville along with his two brothers.
Dan graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1970 and attended 3 years of college at the University of Minnesota. He pursued activities that blended his artistic spirit with craftsmanship. He was an artist at heart and his passion for renovating homes and developing real estate showcased his keen eye for design and transformation.
Daniel was also an adventurer and traveled extensively across the United States and Mexico, always embracing new experiences and opportunities. He worked on the pipeline in Alaska for a time. He also spent time working in Louisiana and was a over the road semi driver as well and demonstrated his versatility. Most of his life however was spent working on the family farm. No matter where life took him, he remained closely connected to his roots, contributing his time and effort to the family farm that shaped him.
Daniel will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of creativity, hard work, and adventurous spirit lives on in the lives he touched.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his brothers; Larry (Karen) Knutson; and Gordon (Pam) Knutson; nieces and nephews: Zach (Katie) Knutson, Caitlin Knutson; Christopher Knutson; and Julie (Nathan) Riess; and grand nieces and nephews: Abigail (Ricardo) Ramoes; Levi Knutson; and Sienna Riess, and many other relatives and friends.
