Daniel ‘Dan’ Vanasse, age 62, of Spring Valley, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 13, 2021, at United Hospital, St. Paul.
A Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, at 3 p.m. at The Wildwood Bar and Restaurant.
A Celebration of Life will follow the service at the Wildwood from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Dan was born September 20, 1959, to Richard and Gladys (Olson) Vanasse at Baldwin, Wisconsin. He grew up and attended school at Spring Valley graduating with the Class of 1977.
Dan had worked for Vanasse Auto Repair in Spring Valley; McMillian Electric in Woodville; and has worked for Woodville Warehousing for about the past 15 years. One of his favorite jobs was working at the Spring Valley Golf Course. In 1982 Dan and Joanne Kannel began dating and were married in 1984. There were blessed with two children: TJ and Aselia.
Dan was a huge Packer and Badger fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his kids and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Rick Vanasse.
He is survived by his son and daughter: TJ (Samantha) Vanasse; Aselia (Michael) Runnels; grandchildren: Traven and Grayson Vanasse and Isibealla Runnels; two brothers: Greg (Darlene) Vanasse and Steve Vanasse; numerous nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
