David Jund, age 59, of Elmwood, Wisconsin died Friday, January 1, 2021 at his daughter’s home in Glenwood City.
A memorial visitation will be on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 3-6 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley. Mask and social/physical distancing required.
David was born September 15, 1961 to Robert and Dorothy (Zelazny) Jund in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up and attended school in Coon Rapids, graduating from Coon Rapids High School in 1980. While in high school he was a member of the Coon Rapids Cardinal football team. He also enjoyed his softball league and playing hockey with friends.
After high school, David worked several manufacturing jobs. Some of the things he produced were soda pop machines and beer signs. He worked at LaMar in Fridley for several years and also worked for Albrightson Excavating in Woodville.
David was married to Brenda Supri and blessed with two children, Chas and April. The marriage later dissolved.
David got into dairy and crop farming and worked for Russell Grape but also helped out Byron Anderson. One of his favorite hobbies was tractors. He had a Model A and Model D John Deere and a Model U Minneapolis Moline. He enjoyed his Fords, 3-wheelers, hunting and loved visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter April Jund of Glenwood City; sister Caren (Zon) Nienaber of Coon Rapids, MN.; brother Donald (Jean) Jund of Andover, MN.; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert and Dorothy, and his son Chas.
