David 'Pete' Bossman

David 'Pete' Bossman, age 80, of Woodville, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at his home in Woodville.

Visitation will be from 1-4:30 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville with a memorial service at 5 p.m. at the church.

Supper will be served following the service.

Pete was born April 20, 1939 to John and Martha (Barringer) Bossman in Eau Galle Township, St Croix County, Wisconsin.  He graduated from Hammond High School in 1958.

On December 2, 1961 he married the love of his life, Margaret Ann DeLong.  They were married at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville, Wisconsin.  To this union two beautiful daughters were born: Lisa (Russell) Sloan and Nona (Dave) Bugni.  Pete will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, his two daughters and sons-in-law; 6 grandchildren: Anna (Matt) Wilson, Thomas Sloan, Samantha Sloan, Crystal Sloan, Joseph Jelen, and Rose Jelen; great grandchildren: Ryan Kerns, Lexi Wilson, Nathan Fedie, Novak Lilleyblad; sisters: Darlene Lien and Margie Brooke; brother Jerome Bossman; sisters-in-law Vickie (Tom) Edin and Maxine DeLong; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pete and Margaret Ann lived the first 14 years of their married life on a farm in Cady Township.  Pete worked at Arrow Building in Spring Valley until it closed.  They moved to Woodville in 1975 where they owned and operated a catering and restaurant business. Pete was a wonderful grill cook but carpentry was his specialty.

In 1987 Pete went to work at Park View Home, retiring in 2010.   He was a very loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.  He loved old cars, and so enjoyed his 1967 Mustang in the summer cruisin’ around with friends.  His witty sense of humor and big bearhugs will be remembered by many.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents John and Martha Bossman; brother Leslie Bossman; in-laws Sam and Alpha Delong; brothers-in-law Bob Brooke, Orville Lien, and Steve DeLong; and sister-in-law Janelle Bossman.
