Diane DeLong, age 74, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at United Hospital in St Paul, Minnesota.
A Celebration of Life and graveside service for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St John’s Lutheran Cemetery, in Spring Valley. Please bring along a lawn chair.
A luncheon and gathering at Handy Andy Park in Spring Valley with follow the service.
Diane was born April 10, 1946 to Charles and Lylak ‘Lucky’ (Sandvig) DeLong in Plum City, Wisconsin. She attended Elmwood Schools and graduated with the Class of 1965.
After school Diane moved to the Twin Cites for work. She later return to her community and worked as a CNA for the Spring Valley and Elmwood Nursing Home. Diane enjoyed living on the farm with mother and loved gardening and caring for the animals.
Diane was a longtime member of the Congregational (Emmaus) Church in Spring Valley and served as it’s custodian for many years. She has lived at the Valley Villas in Spring Valley since 2017.
Diane enjoyed being outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Ken Larson.
Survivors include one sister Sharon Larson of Elmwood; 4 nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
A service for Diane will be held at a later date.
