Donald Sell

Donald Sell, age 64, of Oakdale, Minnesota died Friday, April 23, 2021 at his home.

Funeral service will be Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 28 from 4-7 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church and 1 hour prior to the service at church on Thursday.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Woodville, Wisconsin.

 Donald Sell, age 64, of Oakdale, Minnesota died Friday, April 23, 2021 at his home.

Don was born December 16, 1956 to Harry and Ramona (Ebert) Sell in St. Paul, Minnesota.  He attended Tartan High School and graduated with the Class of 1974. After school he attended college/vo-tech at TVI in St. Paul.

On July 22, 1978 Don married Bonnie Martinson in North St Paul. Although the marriage ended in divorce, they were blessed with three daughters: Kim, Kelly and Katie.  Don called Oakdale home, but Winona also held a very special place in his heart. He worked for the Gillette company in St. Paul and made many lifelong friends. Don was very proud of his daughters, coaching them in fast pitch and also sharing his love of hunting and the outdoors with them. He was an avid hunter and also proud of the years he spent involved with the Pheasants Forever organization.

He was preceded in death by his father Harry; brother-in-law Daniel Handrahan; nephew Brian Omann.

Survivors include his mother Ramona (Forrest) Olson; daughters: Kim (Keenan Vanderventer) Sell; Kelly (Brian) Ellingson; and Katie (Joe Larson) Sell; 7 grandchildren: Mason, Stella, Tre’von, Eva, Nolan, Emmie and Farrah;  siblings: Kathy Handrahan, Milt (Nancy) Sell, Bob (Mary) Sell, Julie (Mike) Bares, Linda (Joe) Traynor, John Sell and Janet (Joe Skillman) Flom; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service is Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville.
