Elaine Hayes

Elaine Hayes, age 77, of River Falls, Wisconsin, died Monday, May 11, 2026, at River Falls Area Hospital.

 A private family burial is being planned.

 Elaine was born October 4, 1948, in Durand, Wisconsin to Arnold and Ada (Hensen) Spielman.  She grew up in Durand and attended Menomonie Schools. On June 19, 1965, she was united in marriage to Daniel Hayes in Ellsworth. They were blessed with three children: Tammy, Luke, and Zeb. Their marriage later ended.

 Elaine moved a number of times and had lived in Louisiana and Tennessee before moving back to Wisconsin.  She lived in Ellsworth for 8 years and at Comforts of Home in River Falls for the past two years. She enjoyed reading and word find puzzles.

 Preceding her in death were her parents; beloved granddaughter Kyra Hayes; siblings: Harold, Edward, Rick, Rosemary, and Lisa.

 She is survived by her children: Tammy (Kenny) Scamp of Hager City; Luke (Ione) Hayes of Beldenville; and Zeb (Tiffany) Hayes of Spring Valley; grandchildren: Chris (Briana), Travis (Leah), Brandi (Anthony), Rachael, Ethan (Lee), Cole, Jack, Billy, Daniel, Jillian, Sam, and Silas; great grandchildren: Trenton, Aiden, Braxton, Kailer, Serenity, and Coryn.  She is also survived by siblings: Joe, Brenda, and Mona; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
