Ella Huepfel

Ella Louise Huepfel, age 89, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center

Ella was born April 20, 1933 in Fountain Township, Fillmore County, Minnesota, to Ethridge John and Edith Marie (Barth) Reynolds.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Preston, Minnesota and has been a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spring Valley since 1964.

Ella attended K-12 grades at Preston Public School and graduated in 1951. She graduated from Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota in 1955.  On October 15, 1956 she married Robert Huepfel in Rochester, Minnesota.  They lived in Rochester; Boulder Colorado; Fargo, North Dakota; Cambridge, Minnesota; and Waseca, Minnesota before moving to Spring Valley in 1964.

Ella worked for over 30 years at Spring Valley Health Care Center in Spring Valley as an R.N. in various capacities.  She retired in 1998.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister: Phyllis Jones; two brothers: Tom and Jerry Reynolds; and her husband Bob.

She is survived by children: Mary Huepfel of Woodbury, Minnesota; Mark (Mary) Huepfel of Houlton, Wisconsin; and Matt (Mary) Huepfel of Spring Valley; 8 grandchildren: William(Amanda), Emma, Mollie, Robert( Monica), Bridget, Angela, Edward, and Reginaldo Huepfel; 2 great grandsons: Thomas and Matthew;  3 sisters: Connie (Rodger) Kveberg, Bloomington, Minnesota; Nancy (Gary) Madison, Red Wing , Minnesota; and Peggy (Don) Calvin, Woodbury, Minnesota; other relatives and friends.

A private family graveside service is being planned.

Memorials are preferred to St. John’s Lutheran Church, PO Box 336, Spring Valley, Wisconsin.
