Eugene 'Geno' Harshman

Gene Harshman, age 72, of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, died Monday, May 26, 2024, at Mayo Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. at the funeral home following visitation.

Burial at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Rock Elm, Wisconsin.

Eugene (Gene) Harshman, was born November 4, 1951, to Raymond & Lois (Eaton) Harshman.  Gene passed away on May 26, 2024, after a battle with cancer.  Eugene attended schools in the Spring Valley District and graduated from Plum City High School.  He was a truck driver for most of his employed life, most recently for Red Wing Shoes, retiring after 21 years.

Eugene's greatest joy was spending time with his family, and hunting and fishing.  If you needed something, he was your "Go To" guy.  He was known for helping anyone in need and making everyone feel special.

Survivors include Eugene & Karyl's sons: Jason (Pam), and Jeremy (Brittany),  James, and daughter Chrissy; 8 grandchildren Ashia (Keith) Cude, Antheny (Liz) Satterfield, Tyler Eckdahl, Vashawn Harshman, Marena Satterfields, Brittany (Chris) Cochran, Logan Harshman, Levi Gilmore; and 13 great grandchildren;  mother-law Verlene Traynor, brothers-in-law: Bill (Deanna) Traynor and Joe (Linda) Traynor;  Cherrie (Pat) Close; brothers Ivan (Deb), Danny (Audre'), Bill (Nancy), Ward (Pam), and Randy; sisters Rhonda (James) Worley, Helen Leslie, and Beverly (Joe) Malouf.

Eugene's parents, Raymond & Lois, and maternal and paternal grandparents, his sister Alice Harshman, brothers Christ and Raymond Jr., preceded him in death.

Visitation Saturday,  June 1, 2024. from 11a.m.-2p.m., followed by a celebration of life at Keehr Funeral home, Spring Valley.   Burial at Poplar Hill Rock Elm.  Arrangements by Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.
