Gail Maureen Meehan was born on January 18, 1951, the first born twin to Harold Curtis Waldron and Dorothy Alene (Garrie) Waldron, in Van Nuys, California. Gail went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with Squamous Cell Lymphoma.
Gail and her twin sister, Sharon, were the only children born to Dot & Harold. Her early years were spent in an idyllic, 1950’s suburban neighborhood in Van Nuys, CA. The family moved to Woodland Hills, CA, in the early 1960’s where Gail (and Sharon) graduated from William Howard Taft High School in 1969. Gail immediately started work in Los Angeles at Kemper Insurance Company, and worked there for 3 years. She met and married Kenneth J. Meehan March 20, 1970. In 1973 she began working for TransAmerica Title Company as an Escrow Officer in various offices in and around L.A. She was a quick study and soon managed her own office in Canyon Country, CA.
Gail loved helping people. Before she was married she would often bring home a ‘person in need’ to sleep in the family room. Her talents and abilities were endless. She loved sewing, baking, hosting wedding and baby showers and teaching cake decorating, to name a few. Though she worked long hours, she always had time to help others.
Gail received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in July, 1974. From that time until her final illness, she loved serving the Lord in her church.
On February 5, 1980 their son, Lucas Wade Meehan was born. Gail’s priorities changed at that time. In October 1980 they were transferred to Raleigh, NC, where Gail was able to be home with Lucas. Later she worked as a paralegal for a group of attorneys, working with escrow and title documents.
Ken, Gail, and Lucas moved to Menomonie in October 1995.
May 1, 2004, Gail, Ken, Chuck & Geri Newton began a home Bible Study, which grew into Otter Creek Christian Fellowship.
Gail is survived by her son, Lucas, grandchildren McKoy, Korbin, Ciarra, & Dravin Meehan; brother-in-law & sister, Pastor Doug & Sharon Vick; sister-in-law & brother-in-law Patti & Ron Ware; step-sister, Sue Cook, nephew and nieces, and great nieces and nephews; two aunties, Laura Ann Waldron & Patricia Butch; many cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ken, parents and step-dad, Warren Griffin.
