Gary "Pork Chop" Linder, age 75, of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his home.
Funeral service will be on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Beldenville.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 5, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and also on Monday for one hour prior to the service at church.
Burial will be at Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery, Beldenville.
Gary ‘Pork Chop’ Linder, age 75, of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his home.
Gary was born June 22, 1941 to Roland and Annis (Bowen) Linder in El Paso Township, Wisconsin. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Beldenville. Gary attended Ellsworth Schools and graduated with the Class of 1959. After school, he entered the U.S. Army and served 4 years. He drove milk truck for Lloyd Sebion for a while and then began his 37 year career at Anderson Windows in Bayport. He lived in Gilman Township until moving to Balsam Lake to enjoy his retirement. He served on Holy Trinity Methodist Church Council and Building Committee at Balsam Lake. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and was a Charter Member of the Eau Galle Rush River Sportsman’s Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Linder.
Survivors include his wife Kathy; sons Daryl (Heidi) Linder of Luck; and Daron (Anita Harr) Linder of Balsam Lake; grandchildren Brandon, Brooke, and Baillie; ‘adopted granddaughter’ Tiffany Elmgren; Godchildren: Amy Matzek, Kim Black, Melanie Freier, and Sheila Eggen; brother Arby (Lin) Linder of Spring Valley; sister Kay (Ken) Black of Arizona; in-laws Audrey Kiefer of Beldenville; Gene (Phyllis) Ray of Ellsworth; all his special fishing buddies, and many other relatives and friends.
Honorary bearers are Kyle Black, Steve Kiefer, David Kiefer, Lee Linder, and Chris Linder.
Bearers are J.T. Elmgren, Matt Livingston, Mark Gisch, Jeff Kahler, Kyle Hopp, Josh Kiefer, Andrew Kiefer, and Curtis Kees.
