Jim was born May 28, 1952, to Russell and Delores (Bjork) Hague in Red Wing Minnesota. He attended school at Maiden Rock, River Falls and Spring Valley. After school, Jim served his country in the U.S. Army.
Upon returning from his service, he attended technical colleges where he studied welding and later farm management. He worked at Twin Cities Shipyards, Meyers, and Northern Metal Fab as a welder. Jim retired after working over 20 years for Northern Metal Fab. He enjoyed playing jokes on his coworkers, especially his buddy Ronnie. While working days as a welder, his evenings were spent farming on his farm in Spring Lake Township.
On July 10, 1976, Jim married Linda Morehouse. They were blessed with 4 children: Tanya, James Jr, Martin, and Kari. The marriage ended after several years. Jim met Zona Johnson. After about 3 months together, Jim proposed and they were married April 5, 2014, at Spring Lake Lutheran Church.
Horse pulling, pony pulling and cooking chicken were hobbies Jim enjoyed. Much of his time the past few years has been driving and assisting the Amish. Jim was free advertisement for Rachel’s bakery. He sure did like the donuts she makes.
Jim will be remembered for his sense of humor and big heart. He loved his family and loved teasing and pulling pranks. There is a reason why he was the only child of 9 to have brown eyes!
