Jeffrey Thompson

Jeffrey Thompson, age 65, of Spring Valley died Sunday, August 15, 2021 at his home in Spring Valley.

 Visitation for Jeff  will  be  Thursday, August  19, 2021 from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley. A time for sharing stories will start at 6:30.

Jeff was born October 19, 1955, the son of Rosemary Doyle. He was raised by his adoptive parents, Richard and Gretchen (Riebeth) Thompson and grew up in Edina, Minnesota. Jeff attended Edina High School and graduated with the Class of 1973. He continued his education at the University of St. Thomas in St Paul where he received a degree in Business Management. He worked many years as a Sales Representative for Hawkins Inc.

Jeff married Deborah Giusto on November 20, 1983 on Long Island, New York. They were blessed with 4 children: Jeffrey Jr., Erik, Andrea and Stephanie. Jeff had lived in Minnesota, Tennessee, and Ohio before moving back to Minnesota after marrying the love of his life, Deborah. They decided to raise their children in Wisconsin and have resided in Spring Valley for the past 23 years. 

Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. For the past nine years, he and Deborah enjoyed their time spent at Nelson Lake in Hayward with family and friends. Along with the enjoyment of the outdoors, Jeff received the most enjoyment from spending time with his children and granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Gretchen, birth mother Rosemary Doyle, and father-in-law Patrick Giusto.

He is survived by his wife Deborah, his children and grandchildren: Jeffrey Jr. (Kayla) Thompson and their daughters Madelyn and McKinley; Erik (Marie) Thompson and their daughter Reyna Craine; Andrea Thompson; and Stephanie Peterson; siblings: Sandy (Dale) Voskia; Danny Thompson; Timothy (Lori) Thompson; Theodore (Becky) Thompson; Robert (Kristi) Thompson; Kevin Doyle; Shawn (Rhonda) Doyle; Kathleen (Greg) Doyle; Colleen Doyle; Donnell Doyle; and Rosemary Doyle; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
