John Pomasl, age 72, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
A Celebration of John’s life for family and friends will be from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Kyote’s Den, rural Menomonie.
A private family service will be on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Kyote’s Den.
John Pomasl, age 72, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly on November 27, 2025 at his home in Gilman Township.
John was born September 8, 1953, to Charles and Rose (Johnson) Pomasl in New Richmond, Wisconsin. He grew up in Hersey, Wisconsin and attended Glenwood City Schools, graduating with the Class of 1971.
After graduation he married Pamela Wolbert and they moved to Knapp, WI. They were blessed with two daughters: Chastity and Courtney. He worked for Sheehy Construction and loved his job as a tower crane operator. He lived in Minnesota for a number of years and has lived at his home in Gilman Township for about the past 15 years.
He enjoyed playing cards, especially Cribbage. He was an avid Vikings fan and loved rides on his Harley.
Preceding him in death were his parents; uncles and aunt: Chuck, Tuke and Bud Johnson, and Marlene King.
He is survived by his daughters: Chastity (Deb Turner) Pomasl, and Courtney Pomasl; grandchildren: Gene Kurtzweg and Matthias Stanton; siblings: Joe (Cindy) Pomasl, Ed (Debby) Pomasl, Jim (Tracy) Pomasl, Kevin (Claudia) Pomasl, Kathy (Bruce) Timm, David Pomasl, and Steve (Pam) Johnson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
