Joyce Esanbock, age 96, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Valley Villas in Spring Valley.
A private family service for children and grandchildren will be on Saturday, January 9 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spring Valley. The service will be live streamed on Saturday the 9th at 11 a.m. on Keehr Funeral Home Facebook page.
Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery, rural Spring Valley.
Joyce Ellyn Rust Esanbock was born on January 20, 1924 in Minneapolis, MN. Parents were Roy Rust and Ethel Norelius Rust. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, MN in 1942. After working at the IDS offices in Minneapolis a few years, she met Bob Esanbock in Spring Valley, WI. On October 29, 1945, Joyce and Bob were united in marriage at St. Luke’s Church in Minneapolis, MN.
They resided on the Esanbock Family farm outside of Spring Valley, WI and were married for almost 58 years.
Bob and Joyce enjoyed many travels. Among them trips to Brazil to see Nolan’s family and a trip to Tacoma WA for the 1962 World’s Fair. Joyce also enjoyed singing, birds, spending time with family and attending church activities.
Survived by Children: Nancy (LaVern) Hauschildt, Linda Gallatin, Deanna (Bill) Traynor, Leroy (Karen), Peter (Barb).
Also survived by daughter-in-Law Katia (David) Gorman, twenty grandchildren: Heidi (Paul) Adam, Holly (Kevin) Fratzke, Amanda (Bill) Hansel, Rick (Sherry) Gallatin, Scott (Shannon) Gallatin, Patrick Gallatin, Douglas (Ania) Esanbock, Dennis (Barbara) Esanbock, JoEllyn Steele, Matthew Traynor, Adam (Becky) Esanbock, Luke (Laura) Esanbock, Jacob (Joyce) Esanbock, Anna Esanbock, Aaron Esanbock, Dillon Esanbock, Ashley Esanbock, Isaac Esanbock, Emma Esanbock, Ella Esanbock, plus twenty-one great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Olive Mulhollam and Janice Rust and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie, son Nolan, grandson David Esanbock, grand-daughter Ellyn Joyce Esanbock, son-in-law Richard Gallatin.
