Kyle was born February 23, 1985 to Keith and Mary (Onstad) Anderson in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was baptized on April 21, 1985 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church in Rock Falls, Wisconsin and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Woodville, Wisconsin.

Growing up he attended Merrill Area Public Schools and Baldwin-Woodville High School, graduating with the Class of 2003. He was active in Choir, Drama, Tennis and Forensics.

Kyle continued his education at Augsburg College in Minneapolis where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in history. He was privileged to sing in the Augsburg College Choir and be part of the Choir’s tour of the Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

On July 26, 2014, Kyle married Sarah Pahl. This union would later end in divorce.

Following graduation from College, Kyle worked at the Minnesota History Center and Historic Fort Snelling as an educator and historical reenactor. Later he worked in the Baldwin-Woodville Public Schools as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher. Kyle also served as aquatics director at Western Wisconsin Health. He was presently working at Midwest Woodturners of Spring Valley where they specialize in “pour your own epoxy” charcuterie boards and custom tables.

Kyle was an avid fan of Minnesota sports teams: Twins, Vikings and Timberwolves. Kyle enjoyed camping, biking, hiking and especially family time at the cabin in western Minnesota. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephew, building snow forts, playing soccer and video games. He was known to “sneak” them a piece of his favorite candy… Starbursts or Sour Patch Kids.

Kyle was an advocate for social justice… standing up for the downtrodden and marginalized. He had a keen interest in politics and making the world a better place in which to live.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents: Russell and Alice Anderson, Wilfred and Gladys Onstad, uncles Keith Onstad and Peter Martinson.

Survivors include his parents: Keith and Mary Anderson; brothers: Trevor (Jessica) Anderson and Reid (Kayla) Anderson; Aunts and Uncles LeAnn (Leslie) Rogness, LoAnn Martinson, Gail Onstad (Stuart) Klovstad and special friend Laura Hanson. Kyle is further survived by his nephew Warren Anderson and nieces Ida Anderson and Quinn Anderson as well as cousins and friends.

Our family’s hope is that each one of us would honor Kyle’s kind and faithful spirit by, each day, trying to understand those who are struggling in this life, being kind, offering a caring smile, living for justice for all, living out the words of scripture; ‘God has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8
