LaVonne Fritz, age 90, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, died on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Elmwood.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, prior to the service.
Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Hatchville, Wisconsin.
LaVonne was born September 2, 1934, to Wilhelm and Lydia Fritz. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Hatchville, Wisconsin. She was active at church where she had been a Sunday School teacher. She was presently a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Elmwood.
LaVonne grew up on a farm in Weston Township and attended Reed Country School. She graduated from Spring Valley High School with the Class of 1952. She worked at the Spring Valley Sun Office and many years at the Elmwood Feed Mill. She has been a resident at Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center since November 2015.
LaVonne loved flowers and gardening, traveling and playing cards. Most important to her was her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; siblings Marvin Fritz and his wife Helen; Doris Hansen and husband Bob; nephews Bob Freiberg, Vaughn Jensen, and Ron Roen.
She is survived by nieces: Barb Freiberg; Judy Jensen; Brenda (Duane) Kado; Mary Roen; JoAnn (Randy) Hoffman; several great nieces and nephews, great great and great great great nieces and nephews.
