Linda (Timm) Schafhauser

Linda Schafhauser, age 84, of Menomonie, Wisconsin died Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Red Cedar in Menomonie.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St Matthew Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.

Visitation will be for 1 hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday.

Burial will be in St Michael’s Cemetery, Cady Township, Wisconsin.

Linda was born March 26, 1937 to Leonard and Elsie (Moldenhauer) Timm in Cady Township, St Croix County, Wisconsin.  She was baptized and confirmed and a lifelong member of St Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.

Linda attended Plainview Country School and Spring Valley High School, graduating as Salutatorian of the Class of 1955.  After graduation, she started working for IDS  and worked there until retirement.

On August 17, 1957 Linda married Barry Schafhauser at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.  They lived in New Brighton, MN  and have lived in Menomonie since the late 80’s.

Linda and Barry enjoyed travel and had visited many European countries along with Australia and New Zealand.  Linda loved animals, especially their cats and dog Reggie.  She faithfully visited her brother Alan on the home farm every day.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Barry. 

Survivors include her brother Alan Timm; nephews: Jerry (Sue) Grunow, Randy (Cathy) Grunow; nieces Pat (Dale) Simonson and Theresa Grunow, other relatives and friends
