Marilyn Jacobson Obituary

Marilyn Jacobson, age 90, of Wilson, Wisconsin, died Monday, February 5, 2024, at her home in Eau Galle Township.

Funeral service for Marilyn will be on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Wilson, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be on Saturday, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Christ the King prior to the service.

Burial will be in Wilson Lutheran Cemetery, Wilson, Wisconsin.

Marilyn was born August 14, 1933, to Eli and Hilda (Swenson) Eitland in Cady Township, St. Croix County, Wisconsin.  She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Wilson Lutheran Church, Wilson, Wisconsin and has been a long time member of Christ the King Lutheran Church at Wilson.

Marilyn attended Spring Valley Schools and graduated with the Class of 1951.  Over the years she had worked a variety of jobs.  She was a secretary at Friday Canning in New Richmond, worked at Rex’s V-Store in Spring Valley and sold World Book Encyclopedias for a short time.

On May 23, 1954 she married James Jacobson at Wilson Lutheran Church.  They were blessed with three sons: Mark, Dale and Scott.  After marriage, Jim and Marilyn lived and farmed the Jacobson family farm in Eau Galle Township.  They worked together on the farm for many years.

Marilyn enjoyed visiting with friends & family, flower gardening,  decorating cakes for friends & family.  She loved animals & especially her cats that gave her much enjoyment and company.  She was active in the church and church activities.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Jim; son Scott; daughter-in-law Kathy Jacobson; brothers Robert Eitland and Maynard Eitland and his wife Avis; and brother-in-law John Randall.

Survivors include her sons: Mark Jacobson; Dale (Ronda) Jacobson; sister Ann Randall; grandchildren: Mandy, Daniel, and Joshua Jacobson; Nick Anderson; Casey and Christina Davis; and Amber and Andrew Jacobson; great grandchildren: Mikayla (Cameron) Zak; Mason Sullivan, Oliver Cook, Sawyer Malean, Adrian, Addison and Levi Gregg, and River Schillinger; many other relatives and friends.
