Marilyn Olson, age 78, formerly of Hatchville, Wisconsin, passed peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Golden Age Manor, Amery, Wisconsin.
A private family burial is being planned.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 26th, from 1-4 p.m. at Ziehme’s Weston Saloon, E1745 361st Ave, Menomonie, WI.
Marilyn was born June 2, 1946, to Elmer “Fuzz” and Annella (Howe) Frank in Menomonie, Wisconsin. She grew up in Hatchville, Wisconsin and attended Elmwood Schools, graduating with the Class of 1965.
On June 19, 1965, Marilyn married Conrad Olson in Menomonie WI at St. Joe’s Catholic Church. They lived in a few different towns in WI and MN, before purchasing the family farm in Hatchville in February of 1978. Marilyn worked a few years at the Spring Valley Café and the Spring Valley Hatchery, but most of her time was spent working on the farm. After they stopped farming, she started her own housekeeping business and cleaned for various clients in the Menomonie area.
Marilyn enjoyed gardening, cooking and entertaining. If you were to stop in for a visit or attend one of many parties at her home you did not go away hungry or thirsty. She loved to entertain. But her biggest pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Connie; sisters Shirley Weber and Charlotte Gregor; granddaughter Tanya Bol; and other relatives.
Survivors include her children: Sis (Steve) Bol; Dan (Donna) Olson; and Dennis ‘Toad’ (Jodi) Olson; 7 grandchildren: Stephanie (Nate) Ball, Justin (Amber Ertolacci) Bol; Jordan Bol; Nathan (Megan Jaastad) Olson, Jessica (Jake) O’Meara; Tessa (Logan) Olson; Tori (Tyler) Timm; 14 great grandchildren: Kylie and Konner Ball; Trevor Murdock, and Gianna Bol; Rogan Bol; Aria and Tim O’Meara; Harper, Trigg, Conrad, and Wes Timm; Landon, Carter and Natalie Olson; sister Diane Klatt; many other relatives and friends.
