Maryann Larson, age 91, of Baldwin, passed peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026 at her home in Baldwin surrounded by her family.
Visitation for Maryann will be on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Baldwin.
Funeral service will be Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Baldwin.
Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Baldwin.
Maryann Louise (Roen) Larson was born April 24, 1934, to Clarence and Myrtle (Seim) Roen at their home in rural Glenwood City, WI. She graduated from Glenwood City High School with the Class of 1952.
On September 27, 1952, she married Virgil Larson at his parents' home in Woodville WI. They were blessed with four children: Rita, Dean, Trudy, and Brenda.
Although she had several jobs throughout her life, the most important one to her was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family filled her heart with love, laughter, and endless blessings. She was so proud of them all.
She was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed watching her favorite teams, the Packers and the Twins. She loved a good card game, board games, puzzles, and playing on her tablet. She was a woman of strong faith and a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Baldwin.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Virgil; son Dean Larson; grandsons TJ Helgeson and Charlie Grajeda; sister and brother-in-law Genevieve and Ronald Longseth; brother and sister-in-law Charles and Donna Roen; sisters-in-law and husbands: Marveda and Maynard Larson; Arlene and Lester Serier, Loris and Harvey Larson; and Donna Mae and Neal Anderson
She is survived by daughters: Rita (Terry) Goveronski of Spring Valley; Trudy (Tracy) Helgeson of Baldwin; Brenda (Dave) Franklin of Grantsburg; daughter-in-law Ruth Larson of Hudson; grandchildren: Tonya (Jesse) Lofgren; Greg (Rachel) Gossel; Jessica (Michael) Grajeda; TJ’s wife Renee Helgeson; Amber Goveronski; Jacob Gossel (Alex); Adam Gossel; great grandchildren: Norah and Marshall Lofgren; Hazel and River Gossel; Aubrey and Amara Grajeda; Kadyn and Blakely Helgeson; Silva Gossel; special friends: Karen Wheeler and Kale Polk; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family extends their deepest appreciation to Adoray Hospice for the loving care and support that they provided to the family. Thank you to the neighbors and friends who helped our mother fulfill her wish to remain in her home.
