Nancy Wilson

Nancy Wilson, age 73, of Wilson, Wisconsin died Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield, Wisconsin.

A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 8, from noon - 4 p.m. at the Phoenix Bar and Grill at Baldwin, Wisconsin. 

Nancy was born October 25, 1949 to Alex and Evelyn (Borgert) Roman at Long Prairie, Minnesota. She grew up and attended school at Long Prairie.  After high school, Nancy moved to Minneapolis where she met Roger Ghinter. They were married November 23, 1968, in Hennepin County and were blessed with two sons: Michael and Joel. Their marriage ended in divorce.
Nancy met Steve Wilson and they were married September 15, 1986. They had two children together: Lindsay and Scott. They lived in Farmington, MN where Nancy raised her kids. She later went to work for Wirsbo, which is now Uponor, where she worked mainly in sales.

Nancy has lived in Wilson, Wisconsin for the past 9 years. She loved animals and
enjoyed horseback riding and motorcycle trips with her partner Richard ‘Torch’
Traynor. Nancy was an avid and vocal Packer fan. Those who knew her knew they
better give her some space during Packer games. Most important to her were her children and grandchildren. Nancy was a "mother figure" for many people. Everyone that knew her loved her warm smile and contagious laugh.

Preceding her in death were her parents; son Joel Ghinter; son-in-law Steven Benner; niece Kimberly Keizer; siblings Clara Thornsley, Tom Roman, Bud Roman, and Bonnie Keizer; and first husband Roger Ghinter.

She is survived by children: Lindsay Benner of Wilson; Scott Wilson of Ellsworth; and Michael (Robin) Ghinter of Anoka; 4 grandchildren: Tanner Ghinter, Renae Benner, Quincy Ghinter, and Trent Benner; partner Torch; other relatives and friends.
