Nathan Gotzman, age 40, of Baldwin, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul due to injuries received in an accident.
Nathan was born April 16, 1985, in Menomonie, Wisconsin to his parents Larry Gotzman and Blanche Gotzman-Schwartz. He grew up near Baldwin where he attended Baldwin-Woodville Schools, graduating with the Class of 2003. After high school, Nathan gained valuable experience working for St. Croix Movers. While he learned a lot, he yearned for the outdoors, and his calling eventually led him to a career trimming trees.
He found an amazing job that he loved with St. Croix Tree out of Afton, Minnesota, now known as SavaTree.
Following his divorce, Nathan stayed in the Baldwin-Woodville area and bought a home in Baldwin Township. There, he lived with his dogs, Stella and Diesel. Stella has passed and is now meeting him at the rainbow bridge. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and whipping around on his ATV, embracing the feeling that time stood still.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lowell and Dorothy Gotzman and Dean and Yvonne Gregory; cousin Tanya Moen; Everlasting Sidekick Stella; and best friend Scott Gossel.
He is survived by his father Larry Gotzman; his mother Blanche Schwartz; step father Steven Schwartz; sister Trish (Nathanial) Lloyd; special nephew Zacrye (Morgan) Aarthun; special niece Alyssa Aarthun; and a very special great nephew Grayson Aarthun; Best friend Alex Schmitt; many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends, and his rottweiler Diesel.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 3-6 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley WI.
